4S Consulting Limited (4S AML) is subject to the requirements of The Privacy Act 2020 in New Zealand (the Privacy Act).
This Privacy Statement explains how 4S AML collects, stores, uses and shares your personal information.
What personal information we collect
We may collect personal information from you, which may include information about your:

IP address, browser type, the date and time you visited our site, time spent on our site, search items and the pages visited (analytical use information – we do not use this information to identify you as an individual)

How we obtain and use your personal information
We collect and process your personal information in order to perform the necessary functions of our business, which may include but is not limited to undertaking audits under the Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009, provision of advice in relation to the regulations, compliance monitoring, reviewing customer due diligence records and training of your employees.
Information and documentation is obtained because it is:
provided by you or through our relationship with you;
provided by third parties, such as agents acting on your behalf;
available in the public domain such as the companies register, on-line search engines, the media.
Besides our staff, we may share this information with the relevant competent authorities in order to meet legal and regulatory requirements and only if required to do so.
Information security
We keep your information safe by storing it securely and restricting access to staff who require it for the performance of their duties.
How long to we keep your information for?
We retain your personal information for seven years from the termination of our relationship with you, at which point we securely destroy it by erasing all files, both electronic and paper.
Your rights
We are required to ensure that the personal information we hold on you is accurate and kept up to date.
You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you’d like to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected, please contact us.
